RECOGNITION FOR THE GRAN MELIÁ CANCÚN
The Sol Meliá Vacation Club units at the Gran Meliá Cancún (Cancun, Mexico) have been awarded the Gold Crown 2008 Certificate, the highest level of recognition given by International Resort Condominiums, in recognition of the units’ high standard of service and the quality of the facilities. The prize was presented by Carlos Figaredo, IRC Director of Business Development in Latin America, to Ricardo Antuñano, Resident Manager, David Aparicio, Operations Director of SMVC, Ivette Sanchez, Hotel Member Services Manager, and Ricardo Cerda, Regional Director of SMVC.
HOSPITATLITY AWARD 2008 FOR HOTEL MELIÁ CABO REAL
The Meliá Cabo Real (Los Cabos, Mexico) has been presented with the Hospitality Award 2008 by the RCI time share company. The award was based on their clients’ opinions of the hotel’s excellent quality facilities and services as well as the friendliness and politeness of staff. Armando Ortiz, the Hotel General Manager, and Adriana de Ávila, Customer Service Manager of the Sol Meliá Vacation Club, collected the prize from Ignacio Rodriguez, Vice President of New Business Development in Mexico, and thanked all the hotel staff for their hard work and constant commitment to the guests.

PARADISUS PUNTA CANA AND PARADISUS PALMA REAL GETS 4 DIAMONDS
The Paradisus Punta Cana and Paradisus Palma Real (Punta Cana, Dominican Republic) have recently been awarded 4 Diamonds classification by the American Automobile Association. The association awards the classification to hotels that best combine a high quality of facilities with a high standard of service. Both hotels have also been acknowledged by the National Hotel and Restaurant Association during the recent XXII Sales Exhibition.
